1. I’m so happy for Ed Sheeran’s success in the past year. I remember first arriving at University and introducing everyone to his music because I felt people’s lives were not complete without a bit of these mans voice in it. Thankfully people shared my interest and a small group of us went off to see him at Leed’s Cockpit 25th May 2011. It was a beautiful small venue under the railway arches and the angelic Irish singer Kal Lavelle was supporting. The maximum capacity for the venue was about 100 people, Ed wasn’t well known by this point and so there was no teenage fan club, in awe, fighting for a chance to touch his sweaty palms. This allowed him to stroll on through the crowd, stand upon bar (which we were standing next) and sing an acoustic 5 song encore. We happily introduced ourselves to both Ed and Kal after the show and had our tickets signed for memento’s. It was a brilliant evening and every time I hear an Ed Sheeran song the radio it never fails to hold my attention. It has to be said, I do love Ed Sheeran like the 10 year old girl inside me loved Gareth Gates. How sad, but so true and hold this memory in good keep. *criiiiiiiinge*
